My husband and I love to try new foods. Every time we get a date night we go out and enjoy the cuisine of local restaurants. Whether it’s Japanese sushi, Neapolitan pizza, Mongolian, or Mexican, we love it all! Last weekend we hit two of our favorite spots, a Mongolian restaurant and a Mexican restaurant. It was great to spend some time together and enjoy delicious food!
I’ve recently fell in love with our local Mongolian restaurant. I absolutely adore their spicy stir fry and I’m excited to try my hand at making my own Mongolian flavored dishes at home. Another restaurant we frequent is a local Mexican chain called Mi Pueblo. It’s a great place to go with the kids because their food is great and their service is fast but it’s lovely ambiance also makes it a great date night spot.
Last Sunday Mike and I had dinner at Mi Pueblo and had a great time!
This is me excited about our date! They’re pretty infrequent in this stage of life so they’re always special.
I ordered the Nacho Special (Mike always teases me that it’s not special after I remove the beans, sour cream and tomatoes ha!) and Mike ordered a spicy taco, beans and rice. Before our meal came we enjoyed their amazing salsa. The salsa is a little different every time we come but it’s always good!
One unsavory side effect of spicy foods is heartburn. Thankfully, I don’t suffer from it but it affects my husband frequently. I’ve only had heartburn once and it was miserable, I can’t imagine dealing with that on a regular basis.
My husband handles it great though and instead of allowing his stomach dictate what he orders he chooses to take PEPCID COMPLETE™ with him when he knows he’s going to eat something spicy. It works within seconds to neutralize the stomach acid that causes heartburn and the relief lasts.
See, he’s all smiles! 🙂
