All kids love play clay right? Homemade, store bought version, it’s all fun! This month I’m going to be sharing a letter of the alphabet each day and a corresponding animal that begins with that letter. After the first 26 days we’ll branch out and explore different textures you can use to add an extra element of excitement for your kiddos. These animals are totally simple and easy to replicate. The only tools we used were mechanical pencils and Melissa & Doug Child-Safe zig zag scissors.
I hope you’ll follow along with me this month and share your homemade creations with me!
The first letter is an easy one. My daughter made it all by herself but cutting the play clay with the scissors and added an eye with the pencil. I was impressed that she made it herself and thought, “hey, we should do the whole alphabet.” That’s how this series got it’s beginning! The pictures get better as we go through the alphabet. I didn’t realize I was going to share these on this blog right away.

This sounds like a series my kids will love! And I am seriously lacking in the “art” category for homeschool, so I am looking forward to this!

Fun! We love play-doh at our house and I always love getting new ideas. Plus, having a 5 year old and a 3 year old homeschooling, this will fit well into what we are already doing. 🙂

How fun! I am always looking for “fun aunt” activities to do with my nephew and friends’ kids. I’m adding your blog to Feedly so I can follow along this month.
