When looking at new homes I always point out when a home has beautiful lighting. Those homes just seem so much nicer in my book. My husband is quick to remind me that it’s just lighting and that those fixtures can easily be replaced. Of course he’s right but lighting makes such a difference…at least in my mind it does!
While we have plans to meet with a realtor (on Monday ahh!) I’m still enjoying the process of shopping for interior lighting for this home and gathering ideas for the next. If there will be a next, we’ll see.
I want you to take a look at two chandeliers I’ve been trying to decide between. This is for my dining room table and my goal is for that space to have a country living/french quality to it.
Top: Feiss Clarissa Chandelier $410 Bottom: Elk Lighting Chandelier $290
I’m in love with both of these chandeliers but I’m leaning more toward the top. It has a streamlined look and it would be easier to clean but it’s more expensive. I’ve been debating on a dining room chandelier for far too many years so I hope you’ll help me out. Which of these two is your favorite?
Also, I found this little gem while browsing the interwebs today. Isn’t this White Glass Lamp simply beautiful? 25 inches of loveliness. I adore white glass and I can’t believe the deal on this lamp today. It’s on sale for $76 from $268. That’s a $192 savings! Plus, today only you can use the coupon code WFLAMPS15 to save an extra 15% off.
Do you like lighting fixtures as much as I do? I always find myself mesmerized by a glistening chandelier or a the soft glow of an antique lamp.

I love that white lamp! I would go with the more simple chandelier because of how dang dusty things get in my house, but there are a lot of great dusters out there these days to help you clean it.

My best friend just redid her kitchen and the lighting she picked is just perfect! It’s amazing how big of an impact chandelier can have on the look of a room.

Those are quite lovely. I went with a simple vintage style last time I bought one, since it was going in the kitchen.

I love old timey chandeliers – like the ones I remember in my grandparents old Southern homes. I think they are such a beautiful statement piece.

I could not agree more with about the importance of beautiful lighting! I LOVE huge windows and tons of natural light but accent lighting and mood lighting are just as important. I love the Clarissa Feiss Chandelier!

I like the first of the two chandeliers, with the partial shade. It’s elegant yet understated . . . but I really LOVE LOVE LOVE that white lamp. Gorgeous!
