This series, Creating a Haven, kind of has me discouraged before I even start. Do you want to know why? It’s because my home doesn’t always feel like a haven. Sometimes it feels like a messy pig sty. To be totally transparent, it feels like that now. My living room has toys that are out of place, my kitchen has dirty dishes in the sink, and I’m pretty sure I have clothes sitting in the wash that I forgot to transfer to the dryer yesterday.
My house isn’t perfect. Far from it actually.
So you’re probably wondering why am I writing about this topic, for 31 days no less.
The answer is easy.
Because I want to create a haven. I want it to be a place where my husband can come home and feel at rest. I want it to be a retreat from the world. I want it to feel cozy and not chaotic.
One of my deepest desires is for my home to become a haven. A calm among the storm if you will. This is why I write and I hope you’ll join me in this journey this month as I try to create a haven.
Just keep in mind this is the journaling of someone attempting the task along side you and not from one who has been there and done that. We can learn as we go, right?

I too want my home to be a haven for my husband and children. I want them to remember sweet memories of home. Great topic.
